AboutJeff Barrett
Jeff is a retired police officer with more than 37 years in the Criminal Justice system. Jeff worked 4 years in corrections and more than 33 years as a police officer. Jeff worked and trained police dogs for 31 years with the City of Lakeland, FL and retired in 2019.
With over 3 decades of K-9 handling experience, Jeff continues to serve the law enforcement canine community as an active FDLE K9 evaluator and USPCA National Judge. Jeff is active as an expert witness in civil litigation and agency canine unit audits. Jeff frequently shares the training field with local handlers to assist with scenario based training events and in-service education.
