Apprehending the passive suspect and targeting with backup neutrality. The course focuses on apprehending the passive subject using the latest modern techniques. Teaching a true suspect targeting system while instilling the canine to become neutral to backup. Topics will include use of muzzle, bark fence, connecting human odor to become a conditioned response for apprehension, desensitizing equipment/items to remain task oriented, and drive capping.

Ronnie Manganiello
Ronnie Manganiello is currently employed as a Law Enforcement Officer, K-9 Handler, and head trainer at his agency in South Florida, the President of Florida Law Enforcement Canine Association (FLECA), and owner of Manganiello_K9 Services. In 2013 Manganiello was selected for the K-9 unit as a handler where he completed a 600 hour K-9 handler course in 2014. Since then, Ronnie Manganiello has completed and became a certified Florida Department of Law Enforcement General Instructor, completed and became a certified K-9 Instructor through the International K-9 College, and a certifying official through the Florida Law Enforcement Canine Association. In 2019, Manganiello was promoted to the rank of Corporal where he has since served as the trainer for his K-9 unit. Manganiello completed and was certified in a 400 hour K-9 Trainer’s Course through the International K9 College, a 480 hour Trainer’s course through the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office, became a certified “FDLE K-9 Instructor” through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and completed a 500 hour course and became a certified trainer through “LK-9.” Ronnie Manganiello has trained numerous canine teams from agencies across the country, conducted basic handler schools and trained “green dogs”, as well as both first time and experienced handlers. Manganiello teaches and certifies trainers across the state of Florida to become Florida Department of Law Enforcement K-9 instructors, instructs K-9 decoy schools, teaches seminars across the country, and has testified in state and federal trials in numerous K-9 cases.
