HITS Training & Consulting is hosting a 3-day training course for all Law Enforcement Detector Dog Teams. You can choose to attend the  classroom course only, the 2-day hands-on course only OR the entire 3 days with us. The training is designed specifically to address issues and  concerns that arise during the deployment of detector dogs. The important issues that you will encounter in the courtroom, based on the actions taken  during training and real life deployments are highlighted in each of the training courses.

We do more than just play “Hide and Seek”. We want you to understand the importance of goal oriented training. Goal oriented training gives  purpose and meaning to every exercise you perform with your dog. Not only do you achieve results and advance your skill level in real world searches,  but you set the foundation for proving your dog’s reliability.

Test yourself and your dog’s skills when you train with the experts.

Go beyond illegal drug odor recognition to ensuring that the environments you work in and the novel odors around you have no influence on your dog’s commitment to search and alert.

Learn why the techniques you use are effective and why some techniques can be counter-productive. This class takes you from the classroom, through the training fields, into the certification process and ultimately out into the real world of police dog detection work. Our expert Trainers will set up working scenarios that will test your skills, advance your performance and leave a long lasting impression on how you look at odor detection and K-9 deployments to achieve the most effective results possible.

Learn how to prove your dog’s reliability through your training techniques and solid record keeping. Come to class ready to work, open to learning and willing to explore new concepts for training and deploying your detector dog on the street.
